Probate fees order now looks likely to be made law by the Autumn of 2019

The proposed order that was due to become law in April this year has a number of technical issues contained within it that would allow many estates to avoid paying any fees.

There is a provisional date set for the hearing of May 14th, however, the most likely outcome now is that the government will allow the current order to lapse during the summer allowing them to put forward a new proposal that does not contain any technical issues when they reconvene in Autumn which would then become law 21 days later.
